Tom tries to FSBO his house for sale in Trinity

Tom had great faith in his abilities. He got a lot of replies when he posted the information for his house for sale in Trinity. It was a reality check for Tom. He never shied away from hard work. Moreover, he was an extrovert with great faith in his people skills. Tom to his shock found that not only he has to negotiate with the prospective buyers for his house for sale in Trinity but also from real estate professionals associated with them.

Literally, every buyer wanted the best possible deal Tom knew it and was ready for the haggle. He, however, was not ready to for the aggressive negotiation tricks and tactics from the professionals associated with the buyers. He was not someone to give up easily. Thus, after the prospective buyers, he came across with the real estate agents who exist to benefit their clients. After things get warmed up a little, the home inspection companies stepped in. They are paid by the buyers, it is their job to find out the existent and sometimes even non- existent problems with the house for sale in Trinity. Finally, the appraiser who would obviously keep in mind the home inspector’s remarks while calculating the value of the house for sale, in Trinity. Once the appraiser has fixed a value, most of the times the buyer and his real estate agent would swing into negotiation mode once again. The negotiations were time-consuming and bothersome for Tom. He thought it would be easy to sell through FSBO but felt himself like a fish out of the water.

The other challenge which Tom was facing was a contrary one. On one hand, he has to negotiate on so many fronts while trying to close the house with a single buyer, but in reality, he was not getting too many options. Not too many prospective buyers were showing interest in his house for sale in Trinity. Thus Tom realized that there were certainly issues with his marketing efforts. He thought it would be as simple as posting the house for sale, in Trinity ad on a FSBO website. He knew that his co- worker has opted in to put his house for sale, in Trinity through a real estate professional and has got lots of responses and thus prospective buyers. Tom wondered what marketing activities he missed because his house was certainly better than the other one in question.

Tom also felt like he was getting buried under the paperwork. It was tedious and tiresome. No wonder none of his acquainted has opted to walk this path of FSBOing.

The final straw that broke the camel’s back when he got to know about the money that his colleague collected from selling his substandard ( in comparison to his house for sale, in Trinity) house. It was hard for Tom to believe that his house for sale, in Trinity was appraised at a lesser value in spite of being in a better location too. When Tom decided to go for the FSBOing, his idea was to save the real estate agent commission but now the tables have been turned on him. He was losing money instead of saving.

Finally, Tom scrapped his plans for FSBOing. He took the card (which his colleague gave him) and dialed the number (727-376-6639) for MPS Home Solutions.
